Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Wild Wind Ranch! Our volunteers play a vital role in keeping the ranch running smoothly while gaining hands-on experience in animal care and ranch maintenance.
Why Volunteer at Wild Wind Ranch?
Volunteering at our ranch is a great opportunity to:
• Work closely with horses and other farm animals
• Gain experience in animal care, farm work, and responsibility
• Enjoy the outdoors and be part of a fun, supportive community
• Fulfill community service hours for school, clubs, or court-ordered service
Community Service Eligibility
Wild Wind Ranch welcomes volunteers completing service hours for:
• School programs (high school, college, FFA, 4-H, etc.)
• Club or organization requirements
• Court-ordered community service (Non-violent offenses only; subject to approval)
If you are volunteering for community service hours, please indicate the reason and required hours on your application.
Volunteer Duties
The primary responsibility of our volunteers is horse poop management—yes, that means lots of scooping! Other duties may include:
• Cleaning stalls and paddocks
• Assisting with feeding and watering animals
• Helping with general ranch maintenance
• Supporting events and activities as needed
No prior experience is necessary, but a positive attitude and a willingness to get dirty are required!
Liability Waiver
Working around horses and other animals comes with inherent risks. All volunteers must sign a liability waiver before participating in any ranch activities. Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign on their behalf.
