At Wild Wind Ranch, our horseback lessons provide a comprehensive introduction to the equestrian experience. Participants will learn essential skills such as walking, grooming, and handling a horse or pony, as well as saddling and unsaddling. For those seeking a more immersive experience, we offer opportunities for children to help with stall duties after their lesson. Although lesson times are typically scheduled on a week-to-week basis, we are flexible to accommodate your needs. Join us for a fun and educational journey into the world of horseback riding!

A Smarter Kind of Adventure Think trail rides are just “hop on and go”? Not here! We start with a 30-minute lesson in the round pen to make sure both you and the horse are on the same page (spoiler: the horse might already know what it’s doing). Then, it’s off to explore the trail—assuming you pass the vibe check.
Wild Wind Ranch homeschool Co-Op was created to allow kids who are in a charter schools or PSA and live in the high desert to come to the ranch. We gather together on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month.
On the first Tuesday of each month, we offer a guest speaker who teaches about ranch or farm related subjects. Past topics include horse farrier, gardening, reptiles, fur vs feathers, horsemanship, and much more.
On the third Wednesday of the month we offer a speaker who teaches arts and crafts.
Every time we meet the kids get an opportunity to explore the ranch, feed the animals, socialize, and play games.
The co-op is now on Tuesdays. The best way to get information on our co-op is to Join
