In 2016, The owner of Wild Wind Ranch, Christy Lisle, was diagnosed with a rare cancer known as a poorly differentiated insular thyroid cancer.
The Lisle family opened the gates of their small family ranch to the community in order to raise money for Christy’s cancer treatments.
In addition to our low cost services, the ranch is now a place that allows others to come and experience the joys of tending to animals while also learning about them at no charge.
